Tires slashed on dozens of cars in Tacoma neighborhood

TACOMA, Wash. - Tacoma police arrested four people after a rash of tire slashings. The three juveniles and one adult are accused of hitting dozens of cars, not far from Wilson High School.

The cars were hit on Friday night, leaving many people stranded and shelling out big money to have them replaced.

"My first reaction was, what are we going to do now?" said Stephanie Jiminez.

The tires on all three of her cars were flattened, and she isn't the only victim. Tow truck companies were busy, hauling away dozens of cars.

"I was pretty shocked," said Paul Miller. "I also realized my best friend a few blocks down also had all four of his tires slashed."

One witness said she called police close to midnight after seeing a group of boys letting the air out of her neighbor's tires.

"Then I heard this hissing sound, which I assumed they were doing something to a tire, and I walked up to my neighbor's house and i could see that they flattened the tire," she said.
